Shortlist announced for 2021 Glasgow Business Awards

Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has announced today the shortlisted entries for The Glasgow Business Awards 2021.The city’s best businesses are set to be celebrated across a host of areas including innovation, health and wellbeing, communication and overall performance at the awards ceremony on 7 October 2021. 

Paying homage to the city hosting of COP26 – four of the 16 categories at the 2021 awards focus on sustainability.

For over 20 years, the Glasgow Business Awards have championed the Glasgow business community and last year was the first absence of the awards, after being postponed by the pandemic.

Announced at the awards, will be Royal Bank of Scotland’s Most Outstanding Business, with the title awarded to one of the winners from the other categories. In 2019, Allied Vehicles won the title, in addition to also winning Family Business of the Year and Best Performing Large Business.

Also up-for-grabs once again is Glasgow’s Favourite Business, sponsored by The Herald’s sister publication Glasgow Times, with SWG3 currently holding the title, after winning the public vote in 2019.

The Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Award for Lifetime Achievement will also be presented on the night, most recently awarded to retired Edrington Chief Executive Ian Curle, commending his 15 years in the role.
