Nominate your favourite Glasgow business

Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for the Glasgow Times' Glasgow's Favourite Business category at the 28th annual Glasgow Business Awards, with members of the public invited to put forward a business that has made its mark on the city.

Sponsored by Glasgow Times and voted for entirely by the public, Glasgow's Favourite Business is the only category at the awards decided by the city's residents rather than a panel of judges. Nominations are open now, with a public shortlist to be revealed over the summer ahead of the final vote.

Businesses can be nominated by the public or put themselves forward. Previous winners include Glasgow Science Centre, The Good Spirits Company and SWG3.

Last year's winner, Oakminster Healthcare, was founded by CEO Sunita Poddar in 1996 and operates care homes across Glasgow, including locations in Govan, Kinning Park and the West End. The company provides residential and nursing care alongside specialist dementia support and physical disability services for young adults.

Richard Muir, deputy CEO of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: "Glasgow's business community has shown real solidarity this year, and the Union Street fire is a reminder of how much these businesses mean to the city and to the people who rely on them. Nominating a business for Glasgow's Favourite Business is a straightforward way to recognise that, and to make sure the places and organisations that matter most to Glaswegians get the recognition they deserve." To submit a nomination, visit www.glasgowbusinessawards.com. The deadline for nominations is Friday 26 June 2026.

The 28th Glasgow Business Awards take place on Thursday, 1 October 2026, at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central. For the latest updates, search Glasgow Chamber of Commerce across social media.
