Business confidence continues to rise in Scotland

Business confidence in Scotland rose 24 points during March to 38%, according to the latest Business Barometer from Bank of Scotland Commercial Banking – conducted between 1 and 15 March ahead of the Chancellor’s Spring Budget on Wednesday 15 March. Companies in Scotland reported higher confidence in their own business prospects month-on-month, up 34 points at 41%. When taken alongside their optimism in the economy, up 15 points to 35% this gives a headline confidence reading of 38%.

Glasgow Airport is preparing for one of its busiest periods of the year as an expected 90,000 holidaymakers travel through the terminal for the Easter school holidays this weekend. With Easter weekend falling in the middle of the school break this year, the airport is preparing for three exceptionally busy weekends ahead.

Glasgow Science Centre’s state of the art Newton Flight Academy (NFA), the only one of its kind in the UK, celebrates its first anniversary on Wednesday 29th March 2023. Over the past 12 months, the three simulators in the Academy have flown 7.4 times around the planet and clocked up 1619 hours of teaching.
